Wycombe midfielder Sergio Torres has agreed a deal with League One side Peterborough.

The 26-year-old Argentinian has agreed terms and will finalise the deal with Darren Ferguson's side on Monday following their return from their pre-season training camp in Marbella.

He told the club's official website: "It was a very hard decision to make. I'm sad to leave because I've had three unbelievable years at Wycombe and every single person I know at the club has been so nice to me.

"But on the other hand, I'm happy because it's what I wanted to do ever since I came to this country - to play at the highest level possible."

Manager Peter Taylor said: "I don't want to lose a good player and the fans' favourite but you have to take into consideration the player's wishes. He's been terrific for the football club but he wanted to go to Peterborough to play at a higher level."
