Wycombe winger Derek Duncan is eagerly awaiting the start of the new League Two season after a frustrating campaign last time out.
Duncan has been training alone due to an injury he suffered at the back end of last season and has been put through his paces by physio Shay Connolly as he aims to get back to full fitness.
And with new boss Peter Taylor now in charge, Duncan hopes he can turn his fortunes around.
"We've got a really good squad with genuine competition in all positions," he said. "I'm really excited for the new season and I just can't wait to get started now.
"I'll be working with Shay for the rest of the week but then I should be training with everyone by Monday. I'm only a couple of days behind the other lads and hopefully I'll be able to play some sort of part in the opening pre-season game at Flackwell Heath.
"The new gaffer seems like a really fair guy and he has told me that the slate is clean and everyone has got the chance to impress him."
