Wycombe manager Gary Waddock believes his side will be up against it when they face Brighton in the FA Cup this weekend.

The Seagulls have made a disappointing start to the League One season and sacked manager Russell Slade last weekend, but Waddock thinks that may motivate their players.

He said: "It's been a positive week despite the result last week as the performance against Walsall was excellent.

"It's a fantastic competition. Every club wants a cup run but we have to start winning games whether they are in the league or the cup.

"It was a tight game when we played Brighton before and obviously their manager has now gone. That's always dangerous as the players will be looking to impress so we know we are in for a test."

Meanwhile, Reading midfielder Scott Davies has extended his loan at the club until January 4.
