Wycombe boss Gary Waddock hailed the quality of midfielder Scott Davies after his brace against Walsall at the weekend.
Davies - who Waddock brought in on loan from Reading - opened the scoring with a free-kick from 40 yards and notched a second from the edge of the area.
Waddock said: "I was fortunate to have him for two seasons at Aldershot and was keen to get him in here as he is a good player.
"To execute the first goal like he did shows the mark of a quality player.
"It was fantastic awareness and execution. He then backed it up with another one and he could have had a hat-trick in the first half which isn't bad for a midfielder."
