Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme aims to make a lasting impression when he returns to the first-team at Wrexham.
Mick McCarthy's side kick-off their pre-season friendlies at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday and Ikeme hopes to seize his chance after a long injury lay-off, in the absence of injured pair Wayne Hennessey and Matt Murray.
Ikeme told the club's official website: "I'm trying to play catch-up on missing about 18 months of the last two or three years with various problems, most recently my knee.
"But the main thing is my knee feels solid now, it's a lot better than it was, but that's why I've missed out on so much football here."
Ikeme added: "When Matt gets fit I should imagine he's going to go back into the number two slot and we'll see what happens from there.
"It's been frustrating because when I have been fit, Matt was playing really well then when Matt was injured, I was injured."
