Coventry manager Chris Coleman has confirmed his interest in signing Clinton Morrison and still hopes to bring Freddy Eastwood to the Ricoh Arena.

Coleman's former team-mate is a transfer target for the Sky Blues after turning down the offer of a new contract at Crystal Palace. The striker is available for free after Palace boss Neil Warnock withdrew the offer, and Coleman believes Morrison would be a valuable addition to his squad.

"He's very capable of scoring goals at this level. If I said we weren't interested I'd be telling you a lie because there maybe a conversation there, but there will be others in for Clinton," Coleman told Sky Sports News.

Wolves forward Eastwood is also a target for City, who have spent several months trying to sign the Wales international.

The deal appeared to collapse due to an issue with Eastwood's contract at Molineux, but Coleman is yet to give up on the transfer.

"Freddy is another player we are interested in and that's no secret. I think he's a very good player," added Coleman. "We have come very close to signing Freddy, but it's not quite happened. I'm not saying it's not going to happen, it may still, but it's gone on for a long time now with Freddy."
