Adrian Boothroyd will begin another attempt at promotion from the Coca-Cola Championship with a trip to face fellow play-off losers Crystal Palace on August 9.

In a tough start for the Hornets they then face Charlton, new boys Nottingham Forest and Ipswich before the end of the opening month.

Boothroyd`s side host Bristol City on Boxing Day while the final day of the season sees relegated Derby visit Vicarage Road.
