West Brom goalkeeper Dean Kiely has come out of international retirement to accept his call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad.

Having retired from the international set-up in 2003 after making eight appearances, Kiely will now join up with Giovanni Trapattoni's 28-man squad for a training camp in Portugal and friendlies at home to Serbia (May 24) and Colombia (May 29).

The 37-year-old has been a virtual ever-present in the Baggies' first team this season, making 53 appearances and keeping 18 clean sheets as they progressed to the semi-final of the FA Cup and won the Championship title.
