West Brom striker Luke Moore says that he owes a lot to boss Roberto Di Matteo after he helped to keep his confidence high during his eight-match goal drought.

The former Aston Villa striker's barren spell ended last weekend as he fired the third goal in West Brom's 5-0 rout of Watford, and has thanked Di Matteo for the support.

Moore said to the Express and Star: "Me and the manager get on well and I know the boss believes in me. He tells me how he sees me as a player and gives me a lot of high praise on a one-to-one basis.

"He has told me how good he thinks I am and can be, and it's always good when you get a manager's faith. Me and the manager see football the same way and that always helps. We have similar views on the game.

"It's always nice to get on the scoresheet. It's been hard for about four games, because I've had injuries and when you can't train it's hard to get your sharpness back."
