Roger Federer says he is excited to see how the young players who finished in the top ten will progress in 2009.

Six of the players who finished in the top ten at the end of the season are 23 or younger including Britain's Andy Murray.

Federer said he was glad so many young players performed well in 2008 but the real test would be to see hwere these players finished in 2009. The average age of the players in the top ten was 23.8, the lowest since 1993.
