Boss Simon Davies insists Kevin Ellison is settled at Chester despite intense speculation linking the winger with a move back to Stockport.

The 29-year-old has repeatedly been linked with the Hatters, but Davies is adamant he will be a City player this season.

"It is flattering when another club offers money for your services but Kevin has returned from holiday in an extremely positive frame of mind, and is looking forward to the forthcoming campaign with Chester City," Davies told the Chester Chronicle.

"Kevin looks really fit and in excellent shape, and he will be a key member of our squad next season."
