Sheffield Wednesday's players have given manager Brian Laws "food for thought" during a successful mini tour of Holland.

The Owls won their two matches - against Haarlem (2-0) and Stormvogels Telstar (3-0) - this week, with strikers Deon Burton and Marcus Tudgay scoring in both.

Laws told the club's official website: "It's been a good trip, we have got the fitness out of it and the team spirit is at an all-time high.

"Again, I would like to thank the people who organised this trip for us. It has been fantastic and they couldn't do enough for us.

"I think that the supporters have thoroughly enjoyed it as well, so all-in-all it has been a major success."

Laws added: "Overall we've had a couple of excellent performances and it has really given me some food for thought going into the next game versus MK Dons."
