Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell believes it is important his players receive one last stern test as they prepare for the final game of their European tour against Dutch outfit Helmond Sport.

The Blades cruised past Hungarian partnership club Ferencvaros before overcoming Belgium second division outfit KVK Tienen last week.

And, despite confessing his side's final opposition are somewhat of an unknown quantity, Blackwell believes the pre-season tour has provided his squad with a sufficient test.

"The application of the lads has been good, they have worked hard but I knew they would because they are an honest set of lads. They have trained hard and enjoyed the trip," Blackwell told the club's official website.

"I don't know much about the Dutch side we are playing but people tell me that the Dutch second division is stronger than the Belgium equivalent, so maybe they will be better than Tienen.

"We've had two tough games so far and I'll be delighted if the lads are tested again before we return."
