Sheffield United have yet to receive an approach for any of their players according to boss Kevin Blackwell.

Speculation linking both James Beattie and Stephen Quinn with moves back to the top flight have been gathering pace in recent weeks, but Blackwell remains confident he can hang on to his prized assets.

"No contact has been made," Blackwell told The Star.

"Like everyone else I've heard the whispers about this player and that player but as far as I'm concerned that's all it is - whispers.

"I've not heard anything concrete about any of my lads and that pleases me.

"It means that we've got a good strong base to work from next season."
