Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell admits he is keen not to upset the balance of his side as he seeks to bring new players to Bramall Lane.

Last season. Blackwell transformed the Blades from mid-table obscurity to within touching distance of the play-offs after his appointment in February.

He hopes to continue that progress in 2008/09 but told the Sheffield Star: "I don't want to upset the balance of what we've already got.

"We don't want to totally change what we're doing because the lads have already shown what they are capable of.

"But we do want to make certain areas better and to carry on improving."

Meanwhile, United striker Luton Shelton scored an eight-minute hat-trick in Jamaica's 6-0 thrashing of the Bahamas in the return leg of their CONCACAF second-round World Cup qualifier.
