Scunthorpe defender David Mirfin is not dwelling too much on his side's defeat to Swansea last weekend.

The Iron were passed off the pitch by Paulo Sousa's men and were beaten 2-0, meaning they travel to Blackpool on Saturday on the back of two straight defeats.

But Mirfin is keen to put the Swansea game down to experience and focus on trying to topple Ian Holloway's side.

"I think it was a case of as well as they (Swansea) played, we were as bad," Mirfin told Press Association Sport.

"We have had a full week to work on things and we go to Blackpool with a point to prove and full of confidence."
