Scunthorpe defender David Mirfin has backed his side to return to winning ways when they travel to Blackpool this weekend.
After morale-boosting wins over Sheffield United and Newcastle, the Iron have lost their last two games against Peterborough and Swansea.
They are currently floating just above the Championship relegation zone and Mirfin knows that although Blackpool will provide tough opposition, his side are more than capable of getting a result.
"Blackpool have surprised a few people this season but they've fully justified where they are in the league," he told Press Association Sport.
"I know a couple of the lads there from my time at Huddersfield and they're going really well at the moment so it should be a good game.
"The majority of people from outside of the club probably won't expect us to get anything but we have surprised people ourselves this season and will be looking to do the same again. We know it's a game where we are capable of going there and getting a good result."
