After sitting out the opening game of the RBS 6 Nations against Italy, England fly-half Toby Flood is pleased to be back in contention for the number 10 shirt, albeit from the bench.

"It was really frustrating to be out with the calf and not in contention. I didn't think much of it post the Ospreys game but it just niggled away and I had to put my hand up. Goody deservedly stepped in and played really well and deservedly kept it. But it's nice to be back in the 22."

An interested spectator when England defeated Italy at Twickenham, Flood says the team has been working hard in training to improve certain areas before the trip to the Millennium Stadium.

"Having trained with the guys we we're almost where we want to be against Italy but a little imprecise in what we wanted to do. We have worked on that and hopefully we can be a little more precise and a little more constructive in our attack and destructive of their defence and move forward and score some tries."

As far as the Welsh team is concerned, Flood pinpointed some particular players that England will have to be on their guard against.

"Obviously Lee Byrne is in the form of his life having come in late into the Welsh team at the age of 25 and obviously Shane Williams playing with a lot of confidence. And in my position Stephen Jones has been going really well for The Scarlets, distributing really well and threatening the line. It's exciting for our defence because if we can shut them down in first and second phase, hopefully we have enough confidence to cause them problems with our attack."
