Harlequins hope to finish off their home campaign the way they started their away programme when Castleford visit the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday.
The Londoners kicked off engage Super League XIV on a high note with a 12-8 win at the Jungle back in February and four months later were riding high in fourth place in the table. But Brian McDermott's men have slipped out of the top eight after winning just one of their last 10 games and desperately need to complete the double over eighth-placed Castleford to revive their play-off prospects.
"We've got to win our final two games," said half-back Danny Orr, the former Castleford captain. "It will be hard but that's what we've got to do."
Their last match is against Warrington, another rival for the last play-off places, and they are encouraged by the fact that their destiny is still in their own hands.
"If we don't beat Castleford, that could be it for us," added Orr. "There's a bit of pressure there but it's a good kind of pressure and hopefully it will bring out the best in us."
Castleford have also lost ground after suffering three consecutive defeats but assistant coach Andy Hay was encouraged by their performance last time out in a 29-26 loss to Wigan.
"For our part, we showed a big improvement against Wigan and that's the platform we have to build upon," said Hay. "We have worked hard to give ourselves a great chance and we don't want to lose our place in the ladder at this late stage."
Bradford need other results to go their way if they are to keep alive their ever-present record in the Super League play-offs.
They have given themselves a lifeline with three consecutive wins but are still three points behind Castleford with just two games left, starting with the visit of Salford to Odsal on Sunday.
"We want to finish the season off as the form team," said Bulls coach Steve McNamara. "We have said for a few weeks that going any further is not in our hands and that will apply this week and probably next."
