According to Jonny Wilkinson, Martin Johnson is the right man to lead England forward.
Johnson has endured a nightmare start as England coach, suffering heavy defeats at the hands of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

But Wilkinson, who played under Johnson during England's World Cup winning campaign of 2003, thinks Johnson is the best man to lead England forward to even more success in the future.
"I have no doubt in my mind that he is the right man for that position. I have played with him, been lead by him, spoken to him and spent time with him. Everything about him mirrors how I feel about the game in terms of approach and understanding the value of it. I believe with huge faith that he is the guy to take this forward but it is a question of time."
Wilkinson also backed Johnson's decision to hand recalls to experienced duo Mike Tindall and Mark Cueto.
"In my opinion, you have the likes of Mike Tindall and Mark Cueto and these are guys who are proven talents in the greatest, intense atmospheres and arenas of rugby. That isn't a flukish talent, it stays," added Wilkinson.
"They've both been through tough injury trouble but they both keep coming back. As we've seen, that isn't easily done and that's the consistency you need to bank on.
"You need it on the pitch but also in the message and the authority and the experience they can speak with off the field. That may be a major part of the rebuilding process now."
