Rotherham remain confident they will kick-off the 2008/9 season at the Don Valley Stadium next month.

The Millers, still in administration, must pay an "irrevocable bond" of £750,000 to the Football League to play in Sheffield after the club's new owners failed to reach an agreement with Millmoor landlord Ken Booth.

The club must also exit administration via a Company Voluntary Agreement to avoid a 15-point penalty and provide further documentation before the Football League hands back Rotherham their League membership.

A club statement read: "We have been assured that all documentation required by the Football League has been forwarded to them, though as in all such detailed applications requests for extra documents have been made and are being responded to.

"We are confident of satisfying whatever documentary requirements the League set in the next few days.

"The issues regarding our move to Don Valley Stadium are ongoing and again we hope to reach an agreement on these matters in the very near future."
