Kallum Higginbotham admits Rochdale are full of confidence but will not disrespect opposition Darlington ahead of their League Two play-off semi-final clash, despite trailing 2-1.

Dale conceded a last-minute goal at the Darlington Arena to give the Quakers a slim advantage heading into the return leg but Higginbotham is confident his side can overcome that deficit and progress to Wembley.

The 18-year-old striker told the club's official website: "It was a massive occasion and though the result wasn't what we deserved I really enjoyed it.

"There is no way we would disrespect Darlington because they are a very good side but a 2-1 deficit is not the end of the world. The gaffer is obviously confident in our ability and we are confident we can get the right result on the day."
