Preston striker Chris Brown has vowed to try and end his goal drought this weekend as North End aim to take all three points from their away trip to face Watford.
The 24-year-old is the Lilywhites' joint top scorer with Neil Mellor, but has failed to hit the back of the net in eight consecutive games - although he came close with a header that hit the bar in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
Brown told the Lancashire Evening Post: "I thought the header against Palace was going in, an inch or two lower and it would have done. Things just didn't quite fall for us last week, had we held on to our lead for longer I think we'd have gone on to win.
"It's been a few games since I scored now, although in that run I've been substitute a couple of times or come off after an hour.
"The main thing is Preston getting the right result and if I can help them do that, it's a bonus. We go to Watford now and hopefully we can get a win there."
