Port Vale boss Lee Sinnott has revealed the club are close to bringing in another new face as pre-season preparations get underway.

The Valiants have already been busy in the transfer market this summer as they prepare for life in League Two, but Sinnott is confident of landing further targets, including one in the very foreseeable future.

"We were very busy at the beginning of the close season, we brought in quite a few bodies. Then as is pretty normal in football, two or three weeks after the end of the season it quietens down," the Vale boss told PA Sport.

"We've been busy but we're still looking to bring maybe two or three bodies in, we are hoping to complete one shortly. I'm not going to say who he is or where he's coming from but that should be completed soon. So that will be pleasing.

"We'll also be looking, as clubs do in League One and League Two, to explore the loan market as well."
