Lee Sinnott believes there is a "debt to be repaid" to Port Vale supporters after the club's relegation from League One last term.
Vale's players returned to pre-season training last week eager to bounce back by securing promotion at the first attempt.
With season tickets sales impressively on the up at Vale Park the club will be one of the most well supported in the division come August, something not lost on Sinnott.
"Many things have gone on during the close season which have given us a good base to start from. We are looking at a healthy number of season tickets sold and I consider there is a debt to be repaid to those supporters and that will begin on August 9," the Vale boss told the club's official website.
"Expectations are high and that brings pressure, but nobody can exert more pressure on me than I put on myself. I have the desire to be more successful and there is no better feeling than to be successful after a hard campaign."
