Port Vale new boy Anthony Griffith is determined to make an impression at the club after his switch from Doncaster.

The midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Halifax, signed for Vale earlier this week along with versatile 23-year-old Rob Taylor.

And he is desperate to grasp the opportunity of regular league football with both hands.

"It's an opportunity that I will jump at because I want to do the best I can," Griffith told BBC Radio Stoke. "Obviously I want to play league football.

"At the time I could have just stayed at Doncaster but wanted to get out and play.

"Now I want to play at a good level and do well for myself, which will mean helping the team too."
