Bristol Rovers striker Lewis Haldane is set to extend his loan spell at Port Vale for a third and final month.
The 24-year-old striker has impressed Valiants boss Micky Adams since joining the League Two side on 1 September, despite scoring just once in 12 appearances.
Adams told BBC Radio Stoke: "Lewis has got the ingredient that can hurt teams at this level, which is real pace.
"I still think he can get better and I still think he needs to be a little bit more selfish, but he's always a threat and we're happy with him."
Meanwhile, Plymouth left-back Damien McCrory is set to return to Home Park following his loan spell.
