Peterborough striker Aaron Mclean has revealed he has agreed to sign a new four-year contract after coming off the transfer list.

The Posh star went on the transfer list at his own request earlier this month, but the club announced on Thursday that he had asked to be removed from the list.

And he told the club's official website: "I have asked for my transfer request to be withdrawn and have agreed to sign a new four-year contract with Peterborough United.

"I have purposely not commented during this troubled period as my passion and desire for the football club, the chairman, the manager, my team-mates and the supporters has never changed.

"My transfer request had nothing to do with greed or me not being happy at the club.

"I will always play with 110% commitment and will without doubt continue to do so for the fans, club and my family and team-mates, who have been great from the moment I made my debut."
