Peterborough will face Glenn Hoddle's academy in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.

The former England manager's academy offers a route back into professional football for up to 40 players who have been released by clubs in 2008.

The game will take place at the La Cala training resort in Spain at 6.30pm local time.

Peterborough captain Micah Hyde told the club's official website: "I am sure it will be tough against professionals that have been released from their clubs and the game has only been arranged while we are out here, so there is not too much time to prepare, but that won't be a problem.

"We have two games at the end of the week and that will be great for the players."
