Peterborough director of football Barry Fry again toasted owner Darragh MacAnthony after the club announced record season ticket sales for the coming season.

Over 3,700 fans have already purchased their tickets for the League One campaign and Fry believes that the club is on a high following the high interest from fans.

He said: "I can't find enough words to describe the sales. They are fantastic, fabulous and absolutely unbelievable when you consider we were regularly getting smaller crowds than this a few seasons ago.

"It is absolutely fantastic that the fans are getting behind the club in this way - and this is why we are so determined to keep the squad together and challenge for another promotion in League One next season.

"This club was in the doldrums for years until Darragh came in and it is a wonderful time to be associated with Peterborough United."
