Peterborough director Barry Fry has announced after deliberating with local police a number of their League One fixtures will be brought forward.
The games affected will include the visit of Leeds on October 4, Millwall on Boxing Day and Leicester on March 28, which will be moved to a noon kick-off from their scheduled 3pm start times.
Posh director Barry Fry told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "The kick-off times have been brought forward on the advice of the police.
"We have to work together, and we're happy to go along with that because we want to protect the city of Peterborough.
He added: "Leeds, Leicester and Millwall fans have a reputation, and we want to give them less time in the pubs before kick-off."
Cambridgeshire Police Chief Inspector, Nick Knight said: "The idea is for them to go straight to the ground when they arrive, enjoy a game of football and go home, instead of heading for the city centre, causing trouble and stretching police resources."
