Arron Davies is anxious to make up for lost time after injury blighted his first season at the City Ground.

The 24-year-old winger, who arrived from Yeovil last summer and signed a three-year deal, was restricted to just 22 first-team appearances last season due to ankle and hamstring problems.

Davies told the club's official website: "This is a massive pre-season for me bearing in mind the injuries I had last season.

"I've nowhere near got the best out of myself yet at Forest. I didn't feel I was match-fit for most of last season, but hopefully it will be different this time around.

"It was the first bad season I had had in terms of injuries, but I know how important it is to bounce back this season.

"I'm looking to crack on and for that to happen I need to have a good pre-season."
