Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson is well aware he may need to be patient in the pursuit of regular football at the City Ground this season.
The summer arrival of Andrew Cole and Robert Earnshaw has pushed Tyson down the pecking order at Forest.
But rather than be deterred by the situation, Tyson appears intent on fighting for a place in Colin Calderwood's side.
"It's obvious we're going to be fighting for places," Tyson told the club's official website.
"But I can play either up front or on the left, so it's up to the gaffer to decide where he wants me to play. I wouldn't mind playing on the left. People keep saying that I don't like it, but I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it.
"It's just a case of waiting for the gaffer to give me the green light and tell me whether I'm playing up front or on the left."
