Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood has tipped youngster Garath McCleary to flourish this season.
The 20-year-old striker joined Forest from Bromley in January and featured heavily in the latter part of the campaign, scoring in the crucial 2-0 win at Carlisle.
Calderwood now wants McCleary to catch the eye in the Coca-Cola Championship.
"It is a big learning curve for him but I think he will have an important role to play for us again," Calderwood told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"He has progressed quite rapidly, although the pre-season he will have in the summer will benefit him no end.
"He has come on a wave of enthusiasm and has a real enjoyment about his game. Physically he is a well conditioned boy, which gave him a chance to be in the team last season. But he is still a little bit short of the fitness required for 90 minutes."
