Northampton manager Stuart Gray hopes to add an experienced midfielder to his squad before the start of the season.

The Cobblers' young side drew 0-0 with Vihren Sandanski in Germany on Monday night, and after the game Gray confirmed he is on the hunt for an old head.

He said: "I still think we maybe need to bring in an older head in midfield and hopefully that might happen.

"At this moment in time the players and their agents are still keeping their options open which they are entitled to do but the closer we get to the start of the season the stronger clubs become.

"The good news though is that I still haven't had any enquiries from anyone about any of my players."
