Northampton manager Stuart Gray is pleased to be starting the new Coca-Cola League One campaign in front of his own supporters.
The Cobblers host Cheltenham on August 9 at Sixfields before travelling to neighbours MK Dons for the first time seven days later.
Gray said: "It`s always good to start the season off at home.
"It will be a difficult game though. Cheltenham surprised a few people last season and any team that can go to Leeds and win can't be underestimated.
"Our first away game is at Milton Keynes and that will obviously be a very big game for the supporters.
"We want to get off to a good start but nothing is guaranteed in football."
