Northampton boss Stuart Gray insists his side have been handed a "tough draw" in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The Cobblers will face Millwall at the New Den and Gray pointed to last season's league game as an example of just how tough he expects the tie to be.

"It's obviously a tough draw for us," he told the club's official website.

"Millwall is a difficult place to go to and we obviously haven't got very happy memories from the league game there last season.

"We arrived late for the game because of the horrendous traffic and because we hadn't been able to warm up properly we ended up picking up a a number of injuries in the first half.

"Everything seemed to conspire against us that night but this tie does give us a chance to try and put things right."
