Leon Camier will start the 10th round of the British Superbike Championship at Croft from pole position.
Riding the Airwaves Yamaha, the 22-year-old topped the qualifying leaderboard for the eighth time in a dominant campaign, running some three quarters of a second faster than the rest.
"I'm happy enough, but lacked a bit of stability," said Camier after his best lap of one minute 20.124 seconds put him comfortably clear of Simon Andrews, with the rest of the front row completed by Stuart Easton and Josh Brookes.
Camier, who could clinch the crown at the North Yorkshire circuit, has a 97.5 points advantage over his team-mate James Ellison, who starts from the second row, fifth fastest.
