Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy is not happy at the prospect of losing assistant manager Mark Lillis to Premier League newcomers Hull.

Lillis, who only agreed a new 18-month contract with The Shrimps in December, is a candidate for an Under-23 development role at the KC Stadium.

McIlroy told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I am not happy but there is nothing I can do, especially at this stage in the season.

"Until it happens we'll have to just get on with the job. I can't stand in anybody's way."
