Morecambe chief executive Rod Taylor has paid tribute to club stalwart Clarrie Hollings after he passed away on Sunday night.

Hollings served the Shrimps in various capacity for 68 years and was a hugely popular figure at Christie Park.

Taylor said: "Clarrie was part of the furniture at Christie Park and he will be sorely missed by everyone.

"He loved everything to do with Morecambe Football Club and was a great servant to the club in one capacity or another for more than 60 years."
