Morecambe chief executive Rod Taylor insists the club will provide manager Sammy McIlroy with the necessary funds to strengthen his squad.
Damien Allen, Simon Grand, Neil Sorvel, Jamie Burns and Jon Newby have all been shown the door at Christie Park and new faces are expected to arrive.
Taylor is keen for the Shrimps to build on the progress after a historic and successful first-ever campaign in the Football League.
Taylor said: "It has been a wonderful season for us and we have had some magnificent achievements along the way.
"To win at Preston and Wolves and get to within one step of Wembley was a marvellous achievement and we can really look forward to our final season at Christie Park.
"The board are fully committed to working with Sammy to strengthen the squad for next season."
