Grimsby are the latest club to publicly declare their interest in signing Mansfield striker Michael Boulding.

Boulding, who scored 22 league goals as the Stags were relegated from League Two last season, has been offered a new contract at Field Mill but wishes to continue playing in the Football League.

Rotherham and Lincoln are already known to be monitoring the 32-year-old's situation.

Mariners boss Alan Buckley told the Grimsby Telegraph: "I have spoken briefly to Michael, but then I went on holiday and I think he is away now.

"We have made our interest known by making contact and we will see what happens. I know a lot of clubs will be keen on Michael's services."

However, Mansfield manager Paul Holland stated on Wednesday that he remains `very positive' about his chances of keeping hold of Boulding.
