Mansfield manager Paul Holland believes he can persuade star striker Michael Boulding to stay at the club.
Boulding, who scored 22 league goals as the Stags were relegated from League Two last season, has been offered a new contract at Field Mill but wishes to continue playing in the Football League.
Rotherham have publicly made their interest known in the 32-year-old, while Lincoln and Morecambe are also believed to be monitoring the situation.
Holland told the Chad: "I am still very positive we could keep him here for next season.
"I have not been in the club much this week and there is nothing more I can do, but I am asking the question every day."
