Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling is determined to sign a left winger in time for the start of the season.

Ling has turned his attention to bringing a natural left-footer after signing goalkeeper Jamie Jones, defender Andrew Cave-Brown and striker Simon Dawkins.

He told the club's official website: "The search for a left winger is going slowly - I'm not going to stand there and tell any lies about it.

"The search continues - there are still four or five names in the hat, and that will increase when certain players go back to pre-season at their clubs and realise they aren't going to be where they expected to be.

"The way I look at it is that we have all of July and August to sort that problem out. I do want a wide left player who is naturally left footed and I will get one by the end of August."
