Leyton Orient new boy Jamie Jones has fired a warning shot at first-choice goalkeeper Glenn Morris after arriving at Brisbane Road on Monday.

The 19-year-old signed a two-year deal with the club after being released by Everton set his sights on becoming the club's number one stopper.

And Jones believes his 12 years with the Premier League club, which included training alongside Tim Howard and Stefan Wessels last season, can give him an edge.

"It's brilliant to have signed for Orient," he told the club's official website. "It is a new challenge for me and I'm really looking forward to it.

"I feel that I'm ready for first team football and I'm looking forward to challenging with Glenn Morris for the starting place.

"Hopefully I'll push Glenn and he will push me and I'll be able to claim that spot."
