Leyton Orient new boy Ryan Jarvis insists he is ready for the challenge of earning a regular spot in Martin Ling's side.
The former Norwich striker completed a move to Brisbane Road earlier this week, having previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with the League One club.
He has signed a two-year deal but admits he faces heavy competition from Adam Boyd and Wayne Gray for a starting berth.
"Adam and Wayne both had very good seasons last year, so it's going to be tough to get in the team," he told the club's official website.
"But that's what you want as a striker - you need competition.
"I'll fight to get in the team and hopefully between us we'll score the goals to get the team in a position to go for promotion."
