Alton Thelwell has signed a new one-year contract at Leyton Orient.

The 27-year-old former Tottenham centre-half would have been a free agent in the summer, but he has committed himself to the Os for another 12 months.

Thelwell played 32 games this season despite a persistent knee injury which eventually required surgery, although he is expected to be fully fit in time for pre-season at Brisbane Road.

Boss Martin Ling is waiting for contract decisions from goalkeeper Glenn Morris and midfielder Paul Terry.
