Leyton Orient are hopeful defender Tamika Mkandawire will be fit for this weekend's FA Cup trip to Tranmere.

The big centre-half suffered concussion after clashing heads with Southampton's Neal Trotman as he put the Os ahead 70 seconds into Saturday's 2-2 draw.

"It was a fantastic finish, very brave by Tam but he had to go off," said manager Geraint Williams.

"It was a very nasty bang - he was concussed and he had six stitches in the side of his head.

"I'm sure he'll have settled down and we hope he's well this week."
