The Football Association has spoken of its "excitement" at making history on Saturday when scheduled to screen the first FA Cup match live on their official website.

Leeds take on Oldham in the first round of the FA Cup at Boundary Park (kick-off 5.15pm) and the FA will show the game for free on www.thefa.com.

The FA's head of marketing Simon Freedman said: "This the first time that the FA are showing a club game live on the internet.

"We are really excited that this match involves a club of the stature and size of Leeds United. We're hopeful that as many Leeds fans as possible log on to www.thefa.com."
