Preston chairman Derek Shaw has told Coca-Cola Championship rivals Ipswich that goalkeeper Andy Lonergan is not for sale.
The Preston-born shot-stopper is attracting strong interest from the Tractor Boys, but Shaw says he has received no official bids for the 24-year-old.
The Deepdale chairman told the club's official website: "Contrary to speculation in the media, we haven't had three bids from Ipswich for Andy Lonergan.
"I received a phone call from Ipswich Town last week, but we didn't even get to the stage of talking about money - I told them that Andy Lonergan was not for sale.
"It was a very brief phone call, and it ended at that. Where the talk of three bids and seven-figure sums has come from, I don't know.
"There's no way we would be willing to sell him and the matter is closed as far as I'm concerned."
